Wow! Ivivva sure knows how to throw a party. Last Saturday, me and my daughters joined hundreds of Bay Area girls as Ivivva wrapped up its Coast to Coast Summer Festival circuit. After making stops in Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles, Ivivva ended with a funtastic celebration in San Francisco at the City View at Metreon. Of course, my girls were a tad bit nervous about whether it was going to live up to the hype. And boy did it ever. It truly was a day filled with fun, movement and inspiration for girls of all ages.
There was everything from hair braiding to fun tribal art to a photo booth and an Ivivva pop up shop? Of course my girls hit up just about everything. But it was the group workout that got everyone moving. Hundreds of girls showed off their best warrior poses as one of the youngest certified instructors in the country co-led them thru yoga. And then there was the Pound cardio jam session. Girls pounding out their energy with bright neon drumsticks (I definitely need to try this). But as their mom, I gotta say the real magic happened when the girls sat wide eyed and listened to other young girls share their beautiful and inspiring stories about working hard to achieve their dreams and goals. There was just something about hearing from their peers that made them stop and really listen.
Thank you Ivivva for putting on a perfect day for so many Bay Area girls. Here's a short video of some of the fun and action that my girls took part in.
